Donate some pet food to a local animal shelter. 5. Watch a program on TV about your favorite animals. 6. Tell kids at school about Be Kind To Animals Week.

You might suggest a writing activity,
a field trip, or an animal book, or a pet food drive.

We have a big German Shepherd Dog down the
street and the owners don't have time for him so
he's locked up in a tiny pen all day long, sometimes
goes 3-4 days without food. So I started going down
there everyday, with the owners permission, and
petting him through the gate and bringing him
treats and stuff. He used to be very aggressive,
now he wags his tail and sticks his nose through
the gate whenever anyone walks by! He's gained
weight and I've already brought him over 3 toys.
