Bonnie the Collie (from the beginning)

Bonnie and I have been spending a lot of time outside since she got here. I am teaching her to play and use chew toys to keep herself busy. Today, while we were sitting outside watching Bonnie, we heard a noise. We looked up and saw something beautiful, but scary, sitting on the branch of the tree just a few feet above Bonnie.

There was a very large hawk, just sitting there looking down at Bonnie! What was he doing there? Looking for dinner? Oh no you don't, Mr. Hawk! Not my Bonnie!

I ran over to Bonnie, scooped her up in my arms, and put her in the house. I don't know if anything would have happened, but it was a little scary. Bonnie was safer in the house for the moment.

If you have a dog that spends a good amount of time outside make sure that it's a good place for your dog to be. Shade, clean water, and safe conditions are the most important. Check on your dog often. Go outside and make your dog happy!
